My life story includes many hardships and difficulties. It had taken me some time to understand why, how, and what I am supposed to do with all of that. The stages that I had undergone in the course of my coping, the tools and assistance that I had received along the way, and the knowledge and experience that I had accumulated, have all assisted me in understanding that I have a mission in life. I realized that everything that had happened to me had occurred for a particular reason, and had found its significance.

We all experience crisis in our life, some of which are bigger, some of which are smaller. Each crisis is a complicated hurl, and sometimes it floods us with difficult, desperate feelings. The first stage which we encounter is that of the fall – the feeling that something bad is going on, something unexpected, that we are not interested in, and of which we have no control. Everyone chooses to cope differently with the new situation encountered.

Our life is filled with passages and changes. Sometimes we are the ones who choose, consciously and intentionally, to make a change (moving to a new apartment, changing work place, changing partners), and sometimes the change is imposed on us (menopause, economical crisis, etc.). When the change is planned, it is a result of some sort of inner process which has occurred due to lack of comfort and ease or satisfaction from the place where we were, as well as due to a strong feeling, which is, on occasion, hard to logically explain, that we must make a change.

Many times, we encounter situations in life which give us a horrible feeling of loss of direction and desperation, as the coping with these situations involves an emotional, physical, and economic burden, alongside the need for information which, naturally, is not in possession of most people. The support groups make this coping easier, and provide their participants an opportunity to help them, as well as to help others in their own situation.

Why should I choose joining a group? That is an excellent question! You have probably found yourself wondering, many times, whether to join a group (a diet group, a recreational group, a group which goes on trips, etc.) and had automatically found yourself fearing: what if the people there are not nice? What if they do not treat me nicely? What if I do not feel comfortable there? Is the host definitely a professional, and is she nice? I am fed up with talking to strangers about myself… What will they ask me to do there?

The organization does not always locate time, money, and organizational energies to its workers.
